TradeGuard ("we", "us", or "our") operates the TradeGuard platform, including the web application at tradeguard.app and the TradeGuard Chrome extension ("the Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service. Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Service immediately.

2. Information We Collect

2a. Information you provide directly

• Account registration information (email address, display name)
• Trading configuration data (strategy names, risk limits, daily loss limits, drawdown thresholds)
• Journal entries (trading notes, mood ratings, session grades, rule compliance records)
• Trade records (entry/exit prices, symbols, PnL, timestamps)
• Support communications

2b. Information collected automatically via the Chrome extension

The TradeGuard Chrome extension reads account summary data displayed in your TradingView broker panel. This includes: account balance, realized PnL, unrealized PnL, available funds, and margin buffer. This data is read directly from your browser's displayed content — TradeGuard does not access your broker credentials, execute trades, or communicate with your broker directly. All data read by the extension is transmitted securely to our servers and stored in your account.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the Service
• To personalize your experience and deliver AI-powered coaching insights

• To respond to support requests
• To improve the Service based on aggregated, anonymized usage patterns
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your trading data to train AI models without your explicit consent. We do not share your data with advertisers.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Supabase, Inc., which maintains SOC 2 Type II compliance. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher. Sensitive data is encrypted at rest. We implement industry-standard security measures including access controls, audit logging, and regular security reviews.

Despite these measures, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Anonymized, aggregated data may be retained indefinitely for service improvement purposes.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your data:

• Right to access: request a copy of your data
• Right to rectification: correct inaccurate data
• Right to erasure: request deletion of your data
• Right to portability: export your data in CSV format
• Right to object: opt out of certain processing

7. Cookies

We use the following third-party services:

Each service has its own privacy policy governing their data handling.

9. Chrome Extension

The TradeGuard Chrome extension operates with the following permissions:

• Storage: to save your settings and session data locally
• Active Tab: to read account data from TradingView
• Tabs: to open the TradeGuard web application

The extension does not collect browsing history, does not read data from any website other than TradingView, and does not inject advertisements or modify page content beyond displaying the TradeGuard interface.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via a notice within the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
